Poof Doof is one of Australia's most iconic names in queer nightlife. Loud, proud and unapologetically itself for over two decades. When they came to the team, the brief was to build a digital presence worthy of the institution. We rebuilt it from the ground up.


ABOUT
The existing website wasn't keeping pace with the scale of what Poof Doof had become. It needed to support high traffic ticket drops, national tour dates, merchandise sales and media coverage without compromising on speed, clarity or attitude. The challenge was to create something that felt as bold and expressive as the brand while remaining seamless and intuitive behind the scenes.
Development was centered around performance and presence. We rebuilt the site architecture to support fast load times and smooth navigation, pairing it with a refined visual direction that feels fierce, polished and unmistakably Poof Doof. Every touchpoint, from ticketing to merch to event listings, was engineered to feel effortless while maintaining maximum impact.

For us at September, this project was about translating cultural legacy into digital form and proving that a website can be just as loud, fabulous and commanding as the dance floor itself.

SUMMARY
The new Poof Doof platform now serves as the central hub for its national footprint, bringing events, tours and community together in one cohesive digital space. Fast, scalable and as commanding as the dance floor itself. For September, this was about translating cultural legacy into digital form. Some brands earn their place in the culture. This one has held it for years. Our job was to make sure the world could feel that the moment they landed on the page.
