The Pink Hotel

In 2025, The Pink Hotel partnered with September following a collaboration with Red Bull to create an event series that matched the venue’s cult status and unapologetic energy. The goal was to design a visual identity and campaign presence that felt nostalgic, bold and perfectly at home on a Coolangatta rooftop.

About the project

The Pink Hotel is already an icon, known for its colour, character and crowd. The challenge was to develop an event identity that could stand alongside both the hotel’s cult following and Red Bull’s global presence without being overshadowed by either. It needed to capture retro cool and coastal hedonism in equal measure, feel instantly recognisable across digital and in venue assets, and build anticipation for a weekend that had to live up to serious hype.

Development was centered around atmosphere and impact. We created the full visual identity for Sunset Sessions, introducing custom typography, gradient tones and pastel driven visuals that fused nostalgia with modern nightlife. Marketing assets were rolled out across digital, social and on site touchpoints, ensuring the creative direction felt cohesive, energetic and unmistakably Pink Hotel.

Sunset Sessions delivered a rooftop takeover that looked as good as it sounded. The event identity elevated the collaboration and reinforced The Pink Hotel’s reputation as a venue that does not play it safe, while aligning seamlessly with Red Bull’s fearless brand DNA.

For us at September, this project was about capturing lightning in a bottle and proving that when two bold brands collide, the creative needs to be just as fearless.
